Pat Eardley brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in human resources leadership, recruiting, and employee development—and she’s spent the last 15 of those years serving business owners through her consultancy, Shift HR. As our embedded HR partner, Pat works closely with our leadership team to ensure our people practices are not just compliant, but compassionate, consistent, and culture-driven.

Pat has a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in organizational development and business administration from Ashford University. With a career spanning retail, telecommunications, hospitality, and manufacturing, Pat’s no stranger to the fast-paced, high-stakes world of small to mid-sized businesses. She’s an expert at helping organizations build strong teams, improve performance, and handle the hard conversations that come with leading people. Her specialties include employee relations, compliance, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, leadership training, and everything in between.

Before launching Shift HR in 2009, Pat served as Assistant Director of Human Resources at Wild Dunes Resort in South Carolina and Director of HR at The Founders Inn and Conference Center in Virginia. Over the years, she has developed high-impact programs in executive development, succession planning, and cultural diversity initiatives, as well as coached countless managers on how to lead with both confidence and empathy.

Pat’s commitment to people doesn’t stop at work, it’s woven into every part of her life. A proud member of the Charleston community, she’s been actively involved locally through service with Charleston Habitat for Humanity, Harbor Entrepreneur Center, the Center for Women, and as a volunteer mentor for SCORE.

Pat believes that when businesses take care of their people, their people take care of the business. Through her partnership with our team, she helps us do just that—stewarding our mission with integrity, excellence, and heart.
