Donald (DJ) Hingtgen

Mr. Hingtgen is the Chief Operations Officer for DAC, overseeing the front, middle, and back-office systems, along with trade execution, to ensure the firm’s technology foundation and system processes meet or exceed our growing needs.

DJ has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, ranging from trading, software development and implementation, to consulting and product management. As a Senior Product Manager on the Portfolio Analytics and Trading Systems Team at FactSet, DJ helped develop the company’s industry-leading suite of portfolio analytics, investment management, and risk control tools. As part of that role, DJ traveled the country assisting nationally recognized investment firms, financial institutions and family offices implement FactSet’s suite of portfolio management services. Several years as a proprietary trader and member of a brokerage firm adds to his extensive financial industry experience.

DJ has an Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree from Cal Poly Pomona and a Master of Finance and Financial Markets from the Stuart Business School in Chicago. He has also earned FINRA Series 57 and Series 65 certifications and is a proud United States Air Force veteran.

Mr. Hingtgen has served as a board member of the Norwalk (CT) City Employees’ Pension Fund and the Rowayton Little League. DJ relocated with his family from Connecticut to the Low Country and now calls Callawassie Island home. An accomplished audio engineer, DJ can be seen assisting local bands with their live audio systems at local music festivals, events and clubs, and is a recording engineer for the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra.
